Server/Waitstaff (PT)

We are seeking friendly and outgoing candidates to join our serving team. The primary function of a server is to provide professional and courteous service. Successful candidates are responsible for direct communication with the Event Manager, preparing tables with proper service wares, serving, removing of all service wares from each course served. Serving from behind buffets and action stations is part of your duties. You must be “people-oriented” and dedicated to providing our guests with the finest dining available at a catered affair with personalized and courteous service in an elegant atmosphere. Drexelbrook will provide you with a custom training program to ensure our continued success.

Dishwasher/General Kitchen (PT)
We are seeking dependable, hard working, individuals for nights and weekend work. Experience working in the hospitality industry is a plus.  Drexelbrook will provide a training program that insures our continued success.  These are entry level positions.

Party Chef – (PT/FT) 

We are seeking goal oriented, self-starters who can think “outside the box” to join our experienced culinary department to execute both on and off-site events.   High volume turnout skills a must utilizing existing systems with focus on quality, proper cooking techniques and presentation are a must.  Applicants must possess the ability to work under pressure and execute events up to 350 guests.  Strong culinary, managerial, and problem solving skills and the ability to give direction to staff are a must.  A Party Chef candidate will be able to read a written banquet event order and execute that menu from set-up to completion. Communicating with event operations mangers insures a seamless event.

 

Position requirements

  • Management experience
  • Two years high volume food service experience in restaurants or catering
  • Demonstrated knife and small appliance skills
  • Able to delegate and discipline
  • Willingness to adapt to the Drexelbrook System
  • Ability to properly use and care for our kitchen equipment
  • Organizational skills
  • Can meet strict deadlines as dictated by the client’s timeline
  • Current Serve Safe/HACCP Certificate
  • Current Valid Driver’s License
  • Standing for long periods of time
  • Physical ability  to lift/push/pull/carry up to 50lbs.

 

Saucier – (PT/FT) 

We are seeking a candidate with demonstrated skills of being able to produce sauces, soups, salad dressing, chutneys, salsas, hors d’oeuvres, desserts and any other recipes as directed by the Executive Chef.  High volume production with a focus on quality, taste and visual appeal is a must. The ability to work under pressure to meet production deadlines is mandatory.  Communicating with purchasing and kitchen managers will insure a seamless flow of production.

  • Two years high volume food service experience in restaurants or catering

  • Ability to properly use and care for our kitchen equipment

  • Be able to take recipes from concept to completion
  • Can meet strict deadlines
  • Current Serve Safe/HACCP Certificate
  • Current Valid Driver’s License
  • Standing for long periods of time
  • Physical ability to lift/push/pull/carry up to 50lbs.
  • Culinary degree preferred

 

Purchasing Trainee – (PT/FT) 

We are seeking a detail oriented, responsible self-starter who can think “outside the box” to join our Culinary team. Experience working with purchasing software and tools, spreadsheets, texlons with strong PC and web skills are essential.  The successful candidate will work along side our Culinary Manager and learn the details of procurement, receiving, storage and rotation of our products.   Other duties include scheduling of our prep and utility staffs, monitoring HACCP controls, menu costing, product costing, rebate programs and the ability to negotiate with product suppliers.  This is an entry level position.  

 

Position requirements

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows with emphasis on Excel spreadsheets
  • Basic Math Skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly both Verbal and written with suppliers and other departments
  • Willingness to learn the Drexelbrook System
  • Basic accounting skills
  • Standing for long periods of time
  • Physical ability  to lift/push/pull/carry up to 50lbs.

 

Culinary Prep – (PT/FT)

We are seeking candidates that are able to work as a unit to produce our award winning cuisine utilizing Drexelbrook’s recipes and systems. Our prep team produces large amounts of food on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.  Successful candidates will be those that have a demonstrated resume of reliability, good working habits and the ability to follow direction to achieve a common goal.  Cross-training to assist with event execution will also be a part of this position.  The demonstrated ability to finish tasks in the time allotted is critical to our on-going success.  Drexelbrook will provide full training of our system to ensure your success.

Culinary Prep Supervisor – (PT/FT) 

We are seeking detail oriented, self-starter who can manage our high volume production team. Management experience working with food production is imperative. A strong, positive leadership “can-do” attitude, recipe development, and delegation skills are a must with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.  This is a very “hands-on” position with accountability for producing our award winning cuisine by adhering to the Drexelbrook’s recipes and systems.  Excellent verbal, written and computer skills and the ability to inter-act with other team leaders and departments ensures a seamless flow for success. Cross-training to assist with event execution will also be a part of this position.  The demonstrated ability to finish tasks in the time allotted is critical to our on-going success.  Drexelbrook will provide full training of our system to ensure your success.
